Eat Slowly, Don’t Be Stuffed!

During the festivities, we may be tempted to over-indulge in all the festive treats. Not to worry, we have some tips for you to avoid over-eating.

Eat slowly and enjoy!
This actually gives your "hunger sensors" time to inform your brain to switch off your hunger pangs. How slow? 20 minutes would be a good start. First, drink a whole glass of water before you start. Then take 10 breaths after you’ve swallowed each spoonful. Include soups for your dinner as a nice warm filler.

Don’t skip meals!
Maintain 3 regular meals a day rather than munching on a cookie or other treats all day. This will also ensure that you are not too hungry and won’t over-eat those delicious lemang and rending meals.

Small is good.
Take smaller servings of dishes that appeal to you. This is especially important at a buffet, where you may want to try everything.

Use a small plate.
Choose a dessert plate for your food. The appearance of a full plate, even if small, gives the mental impression you are eating more than you would if the plate were larger.

Healthy Eating

Do you feel that you want to eat healthily but you don’t know how to start? Well, there’s nothing to worry about. Just stick to these basic tips to enjoy all the benefits of healthy eating.

Take time to chew
Enjoy the maximum taste of every mouthful while minimising the strain on your digestive system.

Don’t overeat
Eat slowly and you’ll become more aware of how much food is going into your tummy. Stop eating before you are full. Resist second or third helpings even if there is plenty more food available!

Have a hearty breakfast
Running short on time in the mornings? It’s no reason to skip breakfast. After a long night’s rest, breakfast replenishes the energy and nutrients needed to start the day, so wake up 10 minutes earlier to make time for breakfast.

Take more milk
It’s good for kids and adults, too! So, drink it every day. Add it to your cereals and beverages. Use it to whip up nutritious milkshakes, smoothies or whatever your creativity inspires.

Snack healthily
If you are feeling hungry, reach for something nutritious. Remember to keep portions small so as not to upset your appetite before the next main mealtime.

Go less sweet!
Watch out for foods that are loaded with hidden sugar, e.g. cakes and doughnuts. Ask for kurang manis when ordering your favourite drinks. For example : Teh Tarik kurang manis satu bro ... hehe

Note: So there you have it – the six healthy eating basics are so easy, so start practicing them today!

Move your Files to Relevant Folders with Ease

You’re pretty organized in your real life but your computer desktop is a complete mess of files because you have the habit of saving everything on your desktop first.

The pictures that you transferred from the digital camera, your email attachments, documents, program installers, etc. are just scattered on your desktop and you rarely get the time to organize them into relevant folders.

How to Keep your Desktop Tidy

Would you therefore like to have some sort of a “wand” that can bring order to your desktop without much effort? Enter DropIt , a free Windows only utility that can automatically sort and organize your files based on your own rules.

DropIt adds a tiny “drop” icon to your desktop and any files or folders that you drag to this icon are automatically sent to the right folder according to pre-defined rules. And you don’t have to be a geek to create such rules.

For instance, you may set up a simple rule saying that all the PDFs and Word documents (*.doc;*.docx;*.pdf) should go to the My Documents folder while the MP3s and Videos (*.mp3;*.mp4;*.wmv) be moved to the Media folder.

DropIt is handy not just for tidying up your desktop but for organizing files in any of the other folders on your hard drive. It can both move as well as copy files from one folder to another or you may set the transfer mode as ‘compressed’ in which case the files will be zipped before getting moved to the destination.
You can even combine DropIt with the very powerful desktop search in Windows to organize files on your computer. For instance, find all the PDFs with desktop search and dump them to an appropriate folder by dragging them all to DropIt.

Note: Hope, this is useful...

Cintai Rasulullah S.A.W.

(Hadis riwayat Bukhari)
Note: Marilah kita bersama-sama ingat mengingati antara satu sama lain...

Jalan-Jalan Ke Terengganu

Salam bloggers. Cuti Tahun Baru Cina ... So, cuti baru2 Mili berkesempatan berkunjung ke Terengganu. Bershopping sakan kat Pasar Payang carik kain batik. Hehehe...

'Kebersihan Sebahagian Daripada Iman' Ingat tue ...

Bas Bandar dia nampak unik dan menarik sangat. Mili tak naik pun, just ambik gambar dia buat kenangan.

Agong sekarang ialah Sultan Terengganu. Pasti bangga rakyat Terengganu.

Apapun Wa enjoy pi Terengganu cuti nih... Hehehe Odios
